- Acoustics, sound perception, digital audio and monitoring
- Setting up a computer for recording
- Using DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software (eg. Cubase, Audacity, Logic)
- The Recording Process
- Post-production (getting your recordings on CD)

If you do not already own the necessary equipment or are unsure what you need we can advise you on the most cost effective and suitable solutions.

About Niks
The course is run by Niks, the engineer at Quercus Studio. He is a studio and live sound engineer, musician and teacher with 10 years experience working with sound and music. Currently recording local North Devon bands and gigging with folk duo 'The Alchemist's Wardrobe', you can be sure of an instructive and enlightening experience on your course.
